Leo Antonino Preserve Trail Work
January was freezing, and April rainy, but the Trail Maintenance Team made up for lost time with two recent working visits to the Leo Antonino Preserve. Groton Town Committee Chair, Janet Andersen, and Trail Maintenance Team leader, Neil Duncan, led a group of over a dozen enthusiastic volunteers who cleared trails and completed other assigned tasks. Donna Siluk and Chet Sicard were among those who helped remove fallen trees and other obstructions as they blazed new trails and improved and rerouted existing water crossings and steep and slippery slopes. We are so grateful for this group’s can-do attitude – “Tell us what need’s doing, and we’ll do it!”
