Did you know the Avalonia Land Conservancy, founded in 1968, goes through a rigorous process to ensure we are operating at the highest possible conservation standards? The Land Trust Alliance, the national accrediting body for land trusts, has renewed our accredited status! We have proven that we have sound finances, practice ethical conduct and responsible governance and can ensure lasting stewardship. We are proud to work with communities in southeastern Connecticut to protect the places we love.
Avalonia Land Conservancy is a land trust dedicated to conservation through the acquisition of open space. It is a non-profit, non-political, tax-exempt organization. We depend almost entirely on volunteers and contributions to maintain our preserves and to fund our operations. Avalonia’s volunteers and members are your neighbors, working tirelessly and giving generously to conserve our local natural resources for the common good. Contact: Terri Eickel, Director of Development and Programming for information about sponsored giving (Terri Eickel: firstname.lastname@example.org), or Mary Anne Sherman (email@example.com) for general information about Avalonia.
