Record Keeping Team Overhauling Land Records

Avalonia’s Record Keeping Team, led by Len Parker, is in the process of overhauling Avalonia’s land record filing system to be sure all legal documents are properly backed up and paper files consistently named and properly stored. After fifty years,  100 acquisitions, and far too many hard-to-identify file-folder names, correct filing was a real challenge.

Now we have a filing system that organizes the files by date, subject and preserve.  As a back-up, all legal documents are scanned and uploaded into a cloud folder, using the same filing system we use with the paper documents. This team also assists with membership and donor data entry.

This small, effective and hard-working group is critical to the long term security of our records and an important part of Avalonia’s re-accreditation in 2023.
