Preserving What Matters: A Journey Through 2025
2025 was a year of growth, community, and conservation milestones for Avalonia Land Conservancy. We celebrated stunning moments, captured in our annual photo contest and by Avalonia’s resident photographer, Gail Kahover. We welcomed dedicated interns and volunteers whose tireless work strengthened trails and habitats across our preserves; moved into an expanded new office in Ledyard, marking a fresh chapter; and added 175 acres so far this year to our growing portfolio of vital forest, wetland, and wildlife corridors as part of nearly 5,600 acres conserved across southeastern Connecticut. Each image tells a story of people, places, and progress, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for being part of it!
