Record your volunteer hours on one new form. Volunteers log about 2,500 hours for Avalonia every year. While that’s a big number, it represents just a fraction of the actual hours donated. Unfortunately, most of us don’t record our time but it is important to track your accomplishments so we can check off our “to do” list. A volunteer’s time is worth $27.05 per hour! Yes, that is how much just one hour is worth according to the IRS (2019.) We can use the value of your time against potential matching grants. Starting in October, we’ll send volunteers a monthly reminder asking them to take just a few minutes to log their time. Have you volunteered?
