There are 175 species of birds that nest in Connec There are 175 species of birds that nest in Connecticut and many live within Avalonia's preserves. If you are a birder, you should know about eBird. eBird is a free website and mobile app managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It's a way for anyone to store birding observations, photos, and sound recordings to make them available to other enthusiasts, scientists, and conservationists.  @team_ebird Ebird.org Currently, there are 32 Avalonia Preserves cataloged as hotspots in eBird with more being added. You can search by county, preserve, and even get alerts for specific species. Grab your boots and binoculars.
