📸 Taking the family on a walk in the forest or going birdwatching in our preserves? Make sure to snap some photos to submit to the 2024 Avalonia Photo Contest.

Submit photos in three categories:
Life and Water
People & Nature
View from the Forest Floor

🚶👧🏻🦉 In the “People & Nature” category, we are looking for photos taken of you, your family, or your friends, enjoying our properties. Snap some photos of the kids looking for frogs around some of our ponds, or your buddy looking at birds in the treetops. Or, simply take a photo of a loved one enjoying the serenity of the forest on a late summer afternoon walk.

Submit your two best shots in each category for the chance to win. The top winner in each category will receive an Avalonia gift basket, which will include some Avalonia swag. The winners will also be featured in our newsletter, on our website, and promoted on our social media platforms. Get those entries in soon! The contest is open through August 31st.

📸 Are you on the lookout for the perfect photo to send to the 2024 Avalonia Photo Contest? You can submit photos in three categories:

Life and Water
People & Nature
View from the Forest Floor

♒🐸🐢 In the “Life and Water” category, we are looking for unique photos taken around the water. Our properties have many babbling brooks and ponds. Look for the life that pops up in or near the water, like flowers, frogs, turtles, water striders, and dragonflies.

Submit your two best shots in each category for a chance to win. The top winner in each category will receive an Avalonia gift basket. The winners will also be featured in our newsletter, on our website, and promoted on our social media platforms. The contest is open through August 31st.

From a historic Industrial site to an emerging marsh eco system dodge paddock right off wall street in the Stonington Borough has gone through extensive change in its long history. Once used in the 1800s as a bushy shorefront distribution point now turned into a shorefront preserve owned by @avalonialandconservancy open for all to visit.

You can submit photos in three categories:

People & Nature
Life and Water

🍄🌿🪵 In the “View from the Forest Floor” category, we are looking for unique photos taken from ground level. Focus on the paths in front of you. Look down for colorful mushrooms, lichen, tree stumps, and rocks. For perspective, try to get your camera level with these subjects. Or, point the camera up from the ground to capture the trees and skies.

Submit your two best shots in each category for the chance to win. The top winner in each category will receive an Avalonia gift basket. The winners will also be featured in our newsletter, on our website, and promoted on our social media platforms. The contest is open through August 31st.
