It Was a Day of Service for the Rotary of the Stoningtons
The Rotary of the Stoningtons held their “Day of Service” on May 18th, and generously donated their time to Stonington’s Dodge Paddock/Beal Preserve in Stonington Borough.
They joined the Stonington Town Committee team of Beth Sullivan, John Swenarton, Jim Friedlander, Kathy Weinberger, and Mark and Susan Hibbard, in attacking the invasives in the planted areas of the preserve. The rain held off and the team accomplished a significant amount of clearing and thinning of the thick growth. A shout-out also to an abutting neighbor, Victoria Lewis, who graciously opened her yard to help the team with the removal of the debris generated.
Thank you to our volunteers!
