Trail Maintenance Training Session
Our team leader, Kimberly Bradley, will be holding a basic field instruction for trail volunteers on September 29 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Swamp Preserve in Gales Ferry section of Ledyard, so come and join us to learn more. To keep our volunteers informed and safe, we ask that new trail stewards attend at least one class before taking on the trail steward job. Trail-Building Workshop
Our trail-building workshop will be on Friday, October 12, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This session will be held on our Tri-Town Preserve (North Stonington) and taught by Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s Clare Cain, one of the state’s leading trail planners. Right Trees for the Right Time Online Workshop: Part 1
Judy Benson, CT Sea Grant Focused on New England forests, this October workshop is provided through a Long Island Sound Study Futures Fund Grant led by the University of Connecticut’s Sea Grant program in collaboration with the Avalonia Land Conservancy and the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS).
