Trail-Clearing Work Party at Glemboski-Ous

FREEJoin Avalonia’s Northern town committee at our newest preserve, Glemboski-Ous, in Bozrah on Sunday, June 9 to help us clear some of the trails. As a follow-up to the Introduction to Stewardship event on May 26, we will again be walking the primary farm/’logging’ roads and clearing the lower safety, emergency, and maintenance access route roughly parallel to the East Branch of the Trading Cove Brook to the point of the brook crossing.
If time, energy, and strong constitutions allow, we will continue on to the Eversource transmission lines corridor, with the eventual goal of reaching the secondary South Road maintenance easement access point.
Please bring gloves, sturdy footwear, drinking water, and bug spray. If you have loppers and clippers, feel free to bring them. Extra tools will be available on site. No experience necessary. We will meet at 9:00 am and try to accomplish as much as possible until noon.
