Trail Description
Glemboski-Ous Preserve features a relatively short flat lower section near the entrance and open woodlands as you go deeper in. The property has principally been in forestry for the past century with a circumnavigating network of farming/logging roads. The proposed trails shown on the trail map are identified by their current state.
Starting at the South Road entrance, you will come to a washout culvert on a branch of Trading Cove Brook. A future crossing/bridge is planned here at the point of the east branch of Trading Cove Brook. Beyond the culvert the tractor road rises significantly until reaching the higher elevation with the loop then being fairly level along the south side of the preserve. Highlights off the trail include vernal pool areas, stone cairns and exposed ledge.
