Great Turnout for Restoration Work at Herman E. Sheets Family Forest!

Spirits were not dampened by the rain last Saturday, as volunteers turned out in droves to assist in a small-scale white oak (Quercus alba) restoration project at the Herman E. Sheets Family Forest in North Stonington.  In addition to planting nearly 75 seedlings and removing considerable invasive barberry from an adjacent area, we made great connections with Reforest the Tropics, a co-sponsor of this effort, as well as with other folks, some of whom have continued in follow-up work on the preserve.  A huge thank you to all you helped out!
