Owls Among Us: An Owl Education Program Presented by Freedom First

September 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FREE

Freedom First Wildlife Rehabilitation, Connecticut’s only owl-exclusive rescue organization, will present an educational program on the species, their rehabilitation, and habitat needs.

Two live owls will participate in the event!

This very special organization, located in Waterford, cares for critically injured birds, many of whom sustain injuries caused by human carelessness. To get to know Freedom First and witness some of their challenging rescue projects, go to their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/FreedomFirstWildlifeInc/

This event has been organized by Avalonia’s Salem Chapter.

RSVP COMING SOON

Accessibility Note:

Temporary accessible parking will be provided. A somewhat steep ramp leads to the entryway. The bathroom offers some accessible features (32-inch doorway, grab bars, lever faucet), but the sink area is tucked into a cramped vestibule. Presentation room is very open. No amplification is available. For more detailed information on accessibility, including requests for sign language interpretation, please contact Elanah Sherman at elanahs@gmail.com or 860-614-7200.
