SUMMARY:An Arbor Day Celebration Tree "Hunt"
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Arbor Day 2021 along the trail on Avalonia Land Conservancy’s Moore Woodland’s preserve in Mystic\, CT \nJoin Jim Luce\, retired Connecticut College Supervisor of Grounds on Avalonia’s Moore Woodlands in Mystic on Arbor Day\, Friday April 30\, 3 – 4:00 pm or on Sunday\, May 2\, 1 – 3:00 pm. \nYou will receive a preserve trail map – then you will walk the trail searching for trees with ‘tags’ that identify the tree and match each tree tag with a number on your map. (You will find Connecticut’s state tree – the white oak somewhere along the trail) \nLearn more about identifying trees and enjoy your walk on one of many Avalonia’s trailed properties. \n(Rain cancels but tree identification maps will be available on site for two weeks\, and the tree tags will remain.)  \nThe Moore Woodlands entrance is located at the south end of Capstan Avenue in Mystic (Groton). \nLocation Map \nTrail Map \nRegistration is required.
