DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Southeastern Connecticut’s First Greenway \nJoin Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection\, the Connecticut Greenways Council\, the Town of Ledyard and the Avalonia Land Conservancy for the 19th Annual CT Greenway Awards & National Trails Day Celebration. This event will be the official opening of the Great Oak Greenway in Ledyard\, southeastern Connecticut’s first such designation. \nThis ceremony will present awards to local conservation organizations as well as recognize the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System and the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
